Fennec foxes (Vulpes zerda) have many attributes that make them attractive as part of living collections and as exotic pets. These engaging little canids are clean, social, and relatively easy to care for. As with other exotics, many of the problems encountered with fennecs appear to be husbandry related. This lecture will lecture will cover the natural history, anatomy, physiology, diet and husbandry of fennec foxes, as well as examination, restraint, and common diseases.
