In this presentation we discuss a case of a kudu (an African antelope) with diarrhea, weight loss, and hypocuprosis. We discuss the importance of forage analysis, pelleted feeds, and mineral supplementation to balance forage inadequacies. We will discuss rapidly fermentable carbohydrates and rumen acidosis as a condition that may be associated with consumption of a diet rich in rapidly fermentable carbohydrates.
