Specialty Veterinary Technician Session: Refeeding Syndrome is a rare but potentially deadly effect of feeding in critical patients. It’s also a critical care nerd paradise requiring the team to have a solid understanding of electrolytes and their effect on the body, catabolic vs anabolic changes in the body, and requires close monitoring and nursing care. This lecture will follow a cat with refeeding syndrome throughout his illness in the ICU.
