General Veterinary Technician Session: Working with large animals in inherently dangerous and preventing injuries in the workplace takes time, education and training. The risks increase significantly when these animals suffer debilitating injuries related to trauma, orthopedic or neurologic disease which impair their ability to stand on their own. Dealing with large recumbent patients also pose risks which can be mitigated in many ways.
