S46D - GP Applications of Rigid Endoscopy: Top 5 Uses

Dr Evans will present his top 5 rigid endoscopy applications for common presentations in the General Practice. Dr. Evans is an owner of a small animal practice and has successfully performed rigid endoscopy procedures since 2012. In this 50 minute lecture, he will present his top 5 five procedures. The top 5 procedures are Laparoscopic OHE/OVE, Laparoscopic Gastropexy, Laparoscopic Diagnostic Biopsy, Rhinoscopy, and Video Otoscopy. For each of these applications, Dr. Evans will discuss: the major considerations when to implement endoscopy over other modalities, why endoscopy is his preferred method for these common procedures, case work up/selection, instrumentation and procedural basics. He will go through one or more example for each procedure in a case presentation format, accompanied by the numbers at his hospitals and data supporting the efficacy of endoscopy for these applications.
