Continuation. Indeed, many true dermatology emergencies will present with similar clinical signs such as a rapid onset of erythema, which may progress into papules, plaques, erosions and/or ulcers. In some diseases, systemic signs will dominate the clinical picture. An early disease recognition is often crucial for a successful management of the patient and, therefore, veterinarians should be familiar with these conditions. Using clinical cases, these two sessions will discuss typical clinical presentations of selected skin diseases considered as derm emergencies. Part 2 of 2.

Formulate list of relevant differential diagnoses for a dog presented for an acute onset of erosive and ulcerative skin lesions
Recognize individual skin lesions and the subtle clinical differences between the different diseases and, based on that, select one to two top differential diagnoses

Assess the prognosis and provide a proper treatment
