Matt is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology. He graduated from the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. After 3 years of dairy, equine and small animal practice, he completed a residency in Diagnostic Imaging at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. As faculty at the Iowa State University (2004-2007) and the University of Florida (2007-present), Matt has a demonstrated passion for teaching and for veterinary education. He won the Gentle Doctor Award at Iowa State, the Superior Accomplishment Award at the University of Florida where he also served as medical director, and numerous teaching awards for basic science and clinical instruction. In 2016-17, he served as the Executive Vice President of Veterinary Education at the North American Veterinary Community (NAVC). He is currently the Chief Veterinary Medical Officer for Veterinary Consultants in Telemedicine, a global teleradiology and telemedicine company, and continues to serve as Clinical Associate Professor of Diagnostic Imaging at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. Matt has a wonderful wife, Brandy, two amazing children, Mia and Damian, and two troublesome dogs, Margin and Wookiee.
