Dr. Andrea Monnig is the Director of Critical ER Education with Veterinary Emergency Group. Dr. Monnig is a gradaute of Purdue University. She completed a rotating internship and emergency and critical care residency at the Animal Medical Center in New York, NY. She became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care in 2011. Dr. Monnig is passionate about emergency and critical care education and new graduate mentorship. She has trained hundreds of students, interns, and emergency and critical resdients while on faculty at The Ohio State University, as a staff criticalist and Intern Director at BluePearl Specialty and Emergency Pet Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee and as the Director of Clinical Development for BluePearl where she oversaw the management of their internship and residency training programs. In her current role with VEG, Dr. Monnig supports the critical care education needs of new ER doctor trainees and experienced associates alike.
