Tim Perciful is the Disaster Response Manager for American Humane and deploys across the country to cruelty cases involving animals and animals impacted by various disasters. Tim trains animal control officers, fire fighters, law enforcement, veterinarians, and other types of responders on disaster response, technical rescue, boat operations, sheltering, and other animal related topics with his experience in the fire service and over thirty years of animal rescue. He also works with organizations to help them prepare, respond, and recover from disasters in their area.
Tim is the current chair of The National Animal Rescue and Sheltering Coalition (NARSC) where national animal nonprofits work together before, during, and after a disaster. NARSC works closely with state and federal agencies on various animal related topics including the current bill called the PAWs Act.
Tim is also on the steering committee for the Best Practices Working Group (BPWG)which creates white papers on various animal related topics when it comes to animals. He is also a cochair for the Animal Evacuation & Transport BPWG with it’s updated version coming out in 2023.
