Dr. Kristine Smith is a graduate of Tufts University, School of Veterinary Medicine and board-certified specialist in zoological medicine with over 15 years of experience in research of zoonotic disease emergence. Dr. Smith completed her residency at the Wildlife Conservation Society’s (WCS) Bronx Zoo in NY. She has since served as an international field veterinarian investigating H5N1, the Assistant Director of Global Health Programs at the Wildlife Conservation Society, the Associate Director of Health and Policy at EcoHealth Alliance, and has worked with various governmental and United Nations agencies on zoonoses issues. Dr. Smith currently serves as a Medical Lead (Preventatives) for Zoetis, with a focus on Feline.
