Patty Lathan attended college at Texas A&M University, veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania, completed an internship at Mississippi State University, and finished a small animal internal medicine residency at Purdue University in 2007. She is boarded by the ACVIM and is a Professor of Small Animal Internal Medicine at Mississippi State University. Her primary interest is endocrinology, specifically the management of adrenal disease and diabetes mellitus. She has published several articles and book chapters, given lectures throughout the United States and internationally, and currently serves as the Past President of the Society for Comparative Endocrinology.
