Janet McConnell is Director of Veterinary Nursing Development at Compassion-First Pet Hospitals. She has spent her 37-year career as a CVT in both clinical and management roles with the last seven in education and professional development. A strong advocate for AAHA, Fear Free, the Veterinary Technician and Veterinary Assistant professions, Janet has a passion for empowering veterinary team members to grow. She is the Program Director for the Brookdale Community College Veterinary Assistant Program, the Education Committee Chair for the NAVTA, the NAVTA State Representative for NJ and was named NAVTA's Technician of the Year in 2015.
