Dr.Johanna Cooper obtained a Bachelor in Science from the University of Guelph. Her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine was completed at the Ontario Veterinary College. After spending 2 years in general practice she elected to pursue a residency in Small Animal Internal medicine. Her internal medicine residency in small animal was obtained at Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. She was an associate professor at Tufts Veterinary Emergency Treatment and Specialties for over 8 years where she trained residents, interns and students in the art of veterinary medicine. In 2014 she became an internal medicine consultant for Antech Diagnostics. Her area of specialty is hepatology and gastroenterology. She has published articles and book chapters pertaining to hepatic disease.
