Dr. Hewitt graduated from the University of Florida Veterinary College in 1990, and has been practicing in Las Vegas, Nevada since graduating. He opened his practice, Cheyenne West Animal Hospital, in 2000, and started pursuing education in advanced dentistry in 2001. He elected to pursue a residency in veterinary dentistry and became board certified in veterinary dentistry in 2018. In addition to his dental practice, Dr. Hewitt also lectures to veterinarians on dental topics. He is a staff clinician with the Peter Emily International Veterinary Dental Foundation, performing dentistry on large and small exotic animals in wild animal sanctuaries throughout the United States.
