Dr, Manfredi earned her veterinary degree from the University of Prince Edward Island Atlantic Veterinary College in 2004, and completed an equine internship at Mississippi State University in 2005. She completed her master’s in veterinary surgery and her large animal surgery residency in 2012, both at the University of Minnesota. She is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (Large Animal) and the American College of Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation (equine). she completed a PhD in equine endocrinology in 2016 at Michigan State. Currently she is an Assistant Professor at Michigan State University and her research focus is on the inflammation at the intersecrion of metabolic syndrome and osteoarthritis, with an interest in prevention, diagnosis and intervention. As an FEI level dressage rider, she also investigates horse, tack, rider interactions.
