I have been in the veterinary field for over 30 years, obtaining my CVT in 1990. I entered into Emergency & Critical Care medicine in 1995. I obtained my VTS in Emergency & Critical Care in 2001 and was the first to attain this certification in the state of Arizona. I am a charter member of the Academy of Veterinary Internal Medicine Technicians (AIMVT), established in 2008. I am a past president of the previous state technician association in Arizona and have served as the chair for the exam committee of AVECCT and served as Executive Secretary of AVECCTN for 7 years. I was awarded the Technician of the Year in 2001 from the Arizona Veterinary Medical Association. I have lectured internationally for over 20 years and am a published author. I was awarded Continuing Educator of the Year by Viticus/WVC in 2022. I am working with the Veterinary Emergency group as their first Advance Practice Veterinary Nurse, in Dallas, Texas.
