This session will utilize case examples and results of several recent research studies to provide an overview of the pathophysiology, clinical features, diagnostic testing options, and treatment of aldosterone-secreting adrenal tumors in cats.

Understand the pathophysiologic effects of excess aldosterone
Recognize clinical cases that warrant testing for hyperaldosteronism
Be able to select and interpret diagnostic tests for cats with suspected hyperaldosteronism
Be able to design an appropriate patient-specific treatment plan for a cat with hyperaldosteronism
