This presentation will provide a recap of pertinent topics from the American Heartworm Society (AHS) Symposium, held in New Orleans in September 2022, where Dr. Moorhead was the co-symposium chair. He will provide background on interesting topics shared, along with his insights on how those findings might best be considered in the management of heartworm disease.

Learn how new animal models will allow researchers to investigate future heartworm preventive products and treatments without the need for laboratory dogs.
