There are multiple new studies which evaluated anesthetic and analgesics drugs in avian species, and several have demonstrated significant differences across avian taxa. This presentation will review these recent anesthesia and analgesia publications in birds, including parrots, raptors, and backyard poultry. Common sedation and anesthetic protocols for these species will also be discussed.
