Critical thinking is an essential skill in all aspects of veterinary medicine, but is particularly important to Veterinary Technicians who are dealing with patient care. Taking all the information we have at hand and making well thought out decisions based on that information is something that not everyone is able to do naturally. This lecture will guide participants through the process of critical thinking and help them learn to cultivate critical thinking skills. We will use real life cases to illustrate critical thinking principles.
Learning Objectives:
Examine the essential parts of critical thinking
Describe how implementing these critical thinking skills can help with the nursing process
Identify ways that critical thinking skills can be improved and grown
