explore AI algorithms for arrhythmia diagnosis, and analyze data on predicting future arrhythmia development using baseline electrocardiograms;
delve into novel AI approaches for optimizing heart failure management, and discuss ongoing collaborations with industry to drive innovation;
recognize the emerging opportunities of artificial intelligence integration into echocardiographic interpretation, point-of-care ultrasound, and coronary angiography interpretation; and
examine the evolving role of AI, such as ChatGPT-4, in healthcare interactions, and assess its potential to supplement doctor-patient interactions and augment physician workflow across clinical, administrative, and research domains.

Workshop Description: Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing the delivery of cardiovascular care, providing novel insights into the diagnosis and management of common conditions, and new opportunities to improve care delivery. In this workshop, we'll explore the significant impact of artificial intelligence on cardiovascular care. Discover how AI is enhancing various aspects of diagnosis and management, from automated echocardiographic interpretation to arrhythmia diagnosis, forecasting future events, and heart failure management. This workshop will provide valuable insights into the emerging opportunities AI presents in improving cardiovascular care.

This session will be held with a multidisciplinary panel with experience in working with artificial intelligence. The session will include the following topics:
1) Echocardiographic Interpretation: Insights from an AI Echo Lab (Teresa Tsang)
2) How can AI improve arrhythmia diagnosis and predict future events? (Pavel Antiperovitch)
3) Novel opportunities for AI in improving heart failure management (Chris McIntosh)
4) AI in the Cath Lab: Perspectives from an Interventionalist (Pascal Theriault Lauzier)
5) The AI Will See You Now: How to use Large Language Models (i.e. GPT-4) to stay ahead of the curve as a Physician and Scientist (Robert Avram)

Invited speakers have expertise across these domains. In the first section, participants will gain further understanding on how AI can improve the diagnosis made by echocardiography, and potential applications in point-of-care ultrasound. In the second section, participants will learn about AI algorithms for arrhythmia diagnosis, and review new data surrounding the prediction of future arrhythmia development (i.e. atrial fibrillation) using a baseline electrocardiogram. The third session will highlight novel approaches to using AI to improve heart failure care and discussing ongoing collaborations with industry to achieve this. The fourth session highlights potential future applications of AI in the cath lab, including the structural cardiology procedure planning. This session will also demonstrate how to translate AI algorithms into clinical practice. The fifth session will discuss the emerging role of AI in healthcare interactions itself – with new developments in ChatGPT4, there is great interest in how this AI can potentially supplement the doctor-patient interaction and augment the physician workflow, from a clinical, administrative and research standpoint.
