describe anatomy of tricuspid valve, assess severity and mechanism of TV regurgitation;
identify eligible candidates for cutting edge percutaneous tricuspid valve therapy; and
list the key imaging aspects of pre and post trans-catheter tricuspid valve interventions that will guide patient management.

Session Description: Tricuspid regurgitation – ubiquitous and difficult to manage, with a significant impact on quality of life - until now?
Historically, despite the poor prognosis associated with significant tricuspid regurgitation (TR), effective treatment options have been quite limited. Recently though, transcatheter edge-to-edge repair has emerged as a safe and potentially effective therapy for symptomatic severe TR.
Please join the Canadian Society of Echocardiography (CSE) in their Spotlight Session on percutaneous tricuspid valve intervention. Experts in the field will answer questions including: What causes severe TR, and are some causes more amenable to intervention than others? Which patients should I refer for tricuspid valve edge-to-edge repair, and who should I not? What echo images are useful to help guide the procedure and predict success, and what outcomes can I expect?
