Learning Objectives / Objectifs d'apprentissage:

At the end of this session participants will be able to / Au terme de cette conférence, vous serez:

understand the anatomy and pathophysiology of the aortic valve and root;
learn the indications, contraindications, and potential complications of TAVI; and
gain practical skills and experience in performing a TAVI procedure through simulation.

Session Description: This simulation-based training session is designed to provide interested trainees with practical skills and experience in performing transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). The session includes a brief lecture on the anatomy, pathophysiology, indications, contraindications, and potential complications of TAVI, followed by a hands-on simulation where attendees will learn to use different catheters, wires, and devices to navigate the aortic valve and implant a prosthetic valve. Experienced cardiac surgeons and interventional cardiologists will guide and provide feedback to attendees throughout the simulation.
