Metabolic liver disease and excess adipose tissue are important co-morbities in diabetes which increase risk of complications. In this session, attendees will learn the molecular mechanisms underlying the bidirectional development of complications with type 2 diabetes MAFLD, obesity which will be complemented with Patient Expertise and Perspectives. This session will identify current mechanistic and clinical care gaps in the intersection of MAFLD, obesity and complications associated with Diabetes.
