define the Long-term sequelae of PE including: Post PE Syndrome, Chronic Thrombo-embolic Disease (CTE-D), Chronic Thrombo-embolic Pulmonary Hypertension (CTE-PH);
identify risk factors for the development of CTEPH post acute pulmonary embolism;
work-up a patient for potential CTEPH; and
discuss potential new therapies for CTEPH.
Identification and management of chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) can be complicated. This session addresses risk factors that may lead to an investigation of CTEPH and will discuss approaches to management of dyspnea and CTEPH.
