Learning Objectives / Objectifs d'apprentissage:

At the end of this session participants will be able to / Au terme de cette conférence, vous serez:

understand the role of social media in enhancing communication and knowledge sharing among healthcare professionals, patients, and the general public.;
recognize social media's potential to foster patient engagement and empowerment, enabling active participation in healthcare decisions and access to support networks; and
discover social media's role in disseminating accurate medical information, promoting health awareness, and combating misinformation. Identify ethical considerations and guidelines for healthcare providers on social media, including patient privacy, professional online presence, and managing risks and challenges.

Session Description: Social media has become an invaluable tool for clinicians to present their research, exchange with like-minded peers and share medical knowledge with patients and clinician, easily, widely and efficiently. This interactive session seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of how social media positively influences medical practice, including enhanced communication, accurate information dissemination, patient engagement, and ethical considerations.
