At the end of this session participants will be able to / Au terme de cette conférence, vous serez:

appreciate the interplay between cardio-renal-metabolic systems and diseases
recognize the need for effective interdisciplinary care to address high-risk patients with cardio-renal-metabolic disease
describe updates in the evidence-based management of patients with diabetic chronic kidney disease
identify the increased risk of peripheral arterial disease in patients with chronic kidney disease, and the need for nuanced diagnosis and management.

Session Description: Cardio-renal-metabolic medicine is a rapidly expanding field. In recent years our knowledge of how these systems and syndromes are connected has evolved. WE have entered and era of unprecedented intersection between disciplines. In this session we will discuss exicing advancements in our understanding of kidney-heart cross talk, and how best to risk-stratify and treat patients with interrelated cardiovascular, renal and metabolic diseases.
