Mohamad Issa, MD, University of Sherbrooke
Born in Lebanon and spending 8 years in Romania, Dr. Mohamad Issa arrived in Quebec at the age of 12. This diverse cultural journey from a young age has enriched his adaptability, empathy, and communication skills.
Dr. Issa's passion for medicine ignited early, driving him to the University of Sherbrooke where he pursued his medical studies. Beyond textbooks, he was drawn to the human side of healthcare, seeking ways to actively improve lives.
Currently, as a PGY2 resident in Internal Medicine, Dr. Issa's interests span a wide spectrum within medicine. He has a particular focus on endocrinology, with a strong emphasis on diabetes. His dedication to this field is clear from his active participation in several research projects, with a significant emphasis on LADA, a unique variant of diabetes.
