Mr. Bernard is a Ph.D. student in the Cardiology department of the Quebec Heart and Lung Institute - Laval University. He is mentored by both Dr. Philippe Pibarot and Dre. Marie-Annick Clavel from the Cardiology department. He holds a Ph.D. stipend from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. His research interests focus on native mitral valve disease, sex differences, treatment choice and durability of treatment in mitral regurgitation.
