Urna completed her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering in 2019 from Louisiana Tech University, LA, USA. She started her postdoctoral journey soon after graduating and she is currently working in Dr. Gaetano Santulli’s lab in Albert Einstein College of Medicine, NY. She is studying the molecular mechanisms underlying the complex pathophysiology of myofibroblast activation after myocardial infarction. She has an excellent publication record published in high impact journals including JCI, Atherosclerosis, JACC Basic to Translational Science, Cells, Scientific Reports, Cardiovascular Diabetology among others. She was awarded with postdoctoral fellowship from American Heart Association (AHA) for the year 2023-2024.
