Rachel Eikelboom is a cardiac surgery resident at McMaster University and an investigator at the Population Health Research Institute in Hamilton, Ontario. She has a PhD in Health Research Methodology from McMaster University. Her research interests are in antithrombotic therapy after bioprosthetic valve replacement. She is the principal investigator of the SUNDANCE trial, which studies subclinical valve thrombosis in patients with surgical bioprosthetic aortic valve replacement.
