Dr Saurabh Gupta is a senior cardiac surgery resident at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. He completed his medical school from Western University.
Concurrent to his training, Saurabh completed a Master’s in Health Research Methodology, with a special focus on knowledge translation. He currently holds a research grant from Hamilton Health Sciences and in the last 5 years of training, has published over 20 peer-reviewed articles.
His research interests primarily focus around the peri-operative antithrombotic management of Cardiac Surgery patients. He is currently the research officer for Surgical Ablation for Atrial Ablation Efficacy (SAFE) Trial.
Clinically, Saurabh hopes to pursue fellowships with a focus on complex valve surgery, along with minimally invasive approaches. He has also developed a keen interest in arrhythmia surgeries.
