Dr Kim is a general practitioner in Calgary with special interest in diabetes and migraine. He is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine at University of Calgary. He works as a peer reviewer and editorial board member for number of medical journals. He has given numerous presentations on the topics of chronic migraine, binge eating disorder, ADHD, respiratory medicine, NAFLD, insomnia, medical education and on diabetes. He has also given number of presentations on behalf of national organizations such as Diabetes Canada and Migraine Canada at various conferences.
Within Diabetes Canada, his role includes steering committee member for the Clinical Practice Guideline, current co-chair of Primary Care Special Interest Group, Dissemination and Implementation member, author of the guideline, and has been a scientific planning committee member for the annual Diabetes Canada Conference. He is heavily involved with medical educations for the health care providers including development of numerous medical education programs, and has completed Master’s program in health care professional educations, and a guest speaker at number of Canadian universities as his focus lies on the effective medical education delivery method. Most recently, he has joined SACME’s Technology-Enhanced educational committee, and Educational Committee for Migraine Canada. In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis whenever possible, and loves travelling with his family.
