Dr. Thibodeau-Jarry obtained his MD degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada in 2009 before completing an internal medicine and a cardiology residency at Université de Montréal. He then completed a Master of Medical Sciences in Medical Education at Harvard Medical School between 2015 and 2017 and a 1-year fellowship in echocardiography at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston from 2017 to 2018.
He joined the Montreal Heart Institute in August 2018 as a non-invasive cardiologist and a “medical education specialist”, where he is helping to develop a new medical education/simulation center focusing on cardiovascular medicine.
Dr. Thibodeau-Jarry is particularly interested in simulation research that uses the concept of Mastery Learning to teach different technical skills, such as central line insertion, echocardiography and cardiac angiography.
Dr. Thibodeau-Jarry is a member of the ACC’s Education Research and Innovation Working Group, the CCS’s Guidelines Committee, has been a faculty for the Harvard Macy Institute Program for Educators in Health Professions since 2017, has been a member of ACGME’s Milestones 2.0 working group in cardiology and is the education track leader for CCC 2020.
