Dr. Diana Sherifali is Associate Faculty in the School of Nursing, and the inaugural Heather M. Arthur Population Health Research Institute, Hamilton Health Sciences Chair in Inter-Professional Health Research. Dr. Sherifali’s research interests include the implementation and evaluation of strategies to support diabetes self-management at the patient, provider and population level, including diabetes health coaching. Dr. Sherifali has been funded by the Canadian Institutes for Health Research, Heart and Stroke and Diabetes Canada, and has published over 100 peer reviewed articles. Over the last decade, Dr. Sherifali’s work has helped shape health services and policy for diabetes, obesity and preventive health care in Canada.
