Cardiac Electrophysiologist

Laurence Sterns is a cardiac electrophysiologist at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, BC. He is the former head of the electrophysiology program and of the pacemaker/ICD clinic for the Vancouver Island Health Authority. Following training in Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, and Heidelberg Germany, he first started practice at Dalhousie University in Halifax before moving to Victoria. His research has focussed primarily on optimizing programming for ICD patients, and optimal utilization of conduction system pacing. He is the former treasurer of the CHRS, former chair of the CHRS device committee, and former president of the Canadian Heart Rhythm Society.
