Dr. Chris Simpson is the Executive Vice President (Medical) of Ontario Health as well as a Professor in the Department of Medicine (Cardiology) and Professor in the School of Policy Studies.
His clinical and research interests include access to care, medical fitness to drive, atrial fibrillation, cardiac resynchronization therapy and inherited heart rhythm diseases.
Dr. Simpson served as the 147th President of the Canadian Medical Association where he championed seniors care and helped to guide the profession through the national discussion on medical aid in dying (MAID) and cannabis legalization. Other past roles include Chair of the Wait Time Alliance (WTA) along with many agency boards.
He is the Past President of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences.
