Dr Hung Q. Ly obtained his MD degree from Université de Montréal (1997), where he also completed his postgraduate training in General Internal Medicine (2000) and Adult Cardiology (2003). Subsequently, he complete an interventional cardiology fellowship (clinical and research) at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachussetts General Hospital (2003-2007). He also obtained a Masters degree in Clinical Epidmiology at the Harvard School of Public Health (2005).
He is affilated with the Montreal Heart Institute's Dept. of Medicine and Interventional Cardiology Service where he is a clinician-scientist, the Director of the CHIP-CTO program and Co-chair of the Cardiogenic Shock Working Group.
At Université de Montréal, Dr Ly served as the Adult Cardiology Postgraduate Training Program (2014-2022) and has been appointed to the position of Director of Clerkship of MD program (current).
He has actively contributed to the CAIC, serving as its President and Past President (until 2020). At the CCS level, he has been Track Captain in Interventional Cardiology, a member of the Quality Indicators in Percutaneous Coronary Intervention Working Group and was on the Primary Panel of the Position Statement on Multivessel Revascularization.
At the provincial level, he has contributed as a member of INESS Expert Panel on Revascularization and MSSS ECMO Working Group.
