Dr. Idan Roifman completed a fellowship in multimodality cardiac imaging followed by a MSc in clinical epidemiology at the University of Toronto. He was subsequently appointed as a clinician scientist in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto and a cardiologist at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in 2016. He is an adjunct scientist at ICES and a full scientist at the Sunnybrook Research Institute. His research foci are in advanced cardiac imaging and cardiovascular epidemiology/health services research. He is the current President of the Canadian Society of Cardiovascular MRI and the recipient of a National New Investigator Award from the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. He also serves as the Director of Multi-Modality Imaging and Non-Invasive Cardiology, Schulich Heart Centre, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
