Since my early medical training, I was deeply interested in the promotion of cost-effective health preventive strategies. After finishing my Cardiology training in Mexico City in 2019, I received the Ted Kernaghan Fellowship Award to advance my training in the Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation Program at the TRI/UHN. My clinical, research and educational activities have been focused on the novel area of Cardio-Oncology Rehabilitation (CORE) preventing cardiovascular disease in cancer survivors. Thanks to amazing mentors, I continued my education with the UoT Master Teaching Program and a Fellowship in Cardio-Oncology. In 2022, I joined the first CORE working group of the International Cardio-Oncology Society. Recently I received the national 2022 ATTR-CM Canadian Cardiovascular Society/Pfizer Research Fellowship award that will allow me to continue my education and create the first Cardiac Rehabilitation Program for patients living with Cardiac amyloid disease. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I created the first digital rehabilitation program for low-income communities in Mexico, helping around 50 people dealing with long-covid symptoms
