Andy Fagan is a cardiac surgeon and cardiac intensivist at St Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg. He is an Assistant Professor in the Departemnt of Surgery at the University of Manitoba. He completed surgical training at Dalhousie University, and subsequently completed fellowships in Critical Care Medicine at Western University and Mechanical Circulatory Support and Cardiac Transplantation at Northwestern University in Chicago. During this time, he also completed a Master of Education focusing on Curriculum Design and Education Technology. He is a board member of the Canadian Cardiovascular Critical Care Society (CANCARE) and a founding member of the Canada-Rwanda Open-Heart Project (CROP).
