Learning Objectives / Objectifs d'apprentissage:

At the end of this session participants will be able to / Au terme de cette conférence, vous serez:

identify the key diagnostic modalities used for neuroprognostication following cardiac arrest;
understand the influence of confounding factors and timing when using diagnostic modalities for neuroprognostication; and
integrate multimodal neuroprognostication into the routine care of the post cardiac arrest patient.

Workshop Description: Neuroprognostication is an important component of the care pathway for cardiac arrest patients admitted to hospital but it is complex, challenging, and often guided by limited evidence. This is a practical, case-based session aimed at implementing the 2023 Canadian Cardiovascular Society Position Statement into clinical practice. The session is multidisciplinary and will be led by experts not only in cardiovascular medicine but also in critical care and neurology. Participants will have the opportunity to participate via web-based audience response with ample time for Q&A.
