Learning Objectives / Objectifs d'apprentissage:

At the end of this session participants will be able to / Au terme de cette conférence, vous serez:

describe risk stratification, prevention and treatment strategies for patients receiving anthracyclines/HER 2 therapies;
discuss current monitorization and management strategies for patients receiving immune therapies; and
identify the diagnostic and management strategies of acute coronary syndromes in patients receiving cancer therapies.

Workshop Description: This Cardio-Oncology session will cover some of the most relevant key points of the 2022 ESC Cardio-Oncology Guidelines and its applications in the Canadian Healthcare System. The session includes a discussion of contemporary issues in the field with the opinion of faculty experts. The workshop is directed to cover 3 main areas including 1) anthracycline/HER2 therapy-related cardiac dysfunction; 2) Immune therapy-related myocarditis; and 3) cancer therapy-related acute coronary syndromes. The session will focus on common toxicities seen in cardiology programs including anthracycline/HER2-related cardiac dysfunction, immune therapy-related cardiovascular disease, and vascular toxicities. The session will be presented by experts in the fields of cardiology, oncology, and cardio-oncology.
