Abstract: The session is designed as a discussion forum for public school SLPs. Issues and current hot topics in the school setting will be discussed. Activities of the TSHA/TCASE Public School Advisory Committee, TSHA Public School Committee, TSHA Legislative Team, state licensure board and the ASHA SEAL will be shared.
Description: This session is held at the convention annually. The purpose is to increase dialogue between public school SLPs and TSHA to identify issues of concern in work settings in the schools and to update participants of activities of TSHA and ASHA on behalf of SLPs in the schools, Members of the TSHA Public School Advisory Committee, the Public School Committee, the TSHA Legislative team, the ASHA SEAL, and representative of the Texas Licensure Board will be in attendance to provide information and respond to questions.
