Planners are increasingly called on to make data-informed decisions and recommendations. Meanwhile, the complexity, volume of data, and types of data sources available continue to grow exponentially, as does the relevance of complicating factors: decreasing digital trust, digital permanence, crowd-sourced data, AI-generated data, and unreliable data. In the face of these challenges, it is now more important than ever that planners are equipped with the tools and strategies to be effective data consumers.
This session will help you address data-consumption challenges head-on, through a hands-on exercise on querying, cleaning and analyzing data. This lab will equip you with concrete data-consumption skills, including instruction on the use of Power BI (Data Visualization Software).
It is recommended that you bring a laptop.
