Valerie Vellon is an Analyst for the Montgomery County Recovery Office. She uses data-driven research to evaluate and analyze a variety of federal, municipal, and state programs. Valerie also participates in cross-functional teams that work directly with the federal, state, county, and municipal staff to implement and develop policies, programs, and initiatives that produce positive, lasting, and equitable outcomes. She is passionate to build sustainable communities through local engagement between the County and underserved minority communities by creating tools to facilitate transformative dialogues that have an impact on policies and programs. Most recently, she has been involved with program design, funds management, and implementation of the American Rescue Plan Act’s State and Local Funds (SLFRF) for Montgomery County, PA.
Prior to this position, she worked for over a decade in the private health sector as an advocate for health promotion in Pennsylvania and Florida and acquired research experience working with international nonprofits.
Valerie holds a Bachelor of Science from Barry University, as well as a Master’s in International Public Health from the University of Liverpool, UK.
