Lisa Corrado, AICP is a highly skilled public policy strategist who aligns and secures resources to make transformative change. Corrado currently serves as the Director of Community Development & Services at the City of Henderson, Nevada. She oversees a diverse department including planning, development services, code enforcement, building and fire safety, neighborhood services and the Center for Community Resources & Resiliency.
Corrado presented for the first time on the fentanly crisis at the 2022 conference and will be joined this year by Keith Carter, Director of Nevada's High Impact Drug Trafficking Areas program, and Brandon Pierce, Digital Marketing Director of Purdue Marion & Associates, a Nevada-based Public Relations & Digital Marketing company.
She has managed two APA-award winning projects: Breaking Barriers through Public Outreach—for the Southern Nevada Strong Regional Planning project in 2016 and the National Resilience & Sustainability Award in 2021 for Together We Can, A Primer for Recovery, the City of Henderson’s COVID-19 Recovery Plan.
Lisa is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and holds a BA in Hispanic Languages & Literature & Political Science and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. She recently completed a Graduate Certificate in Personal Leadership from Stanford University.
