Bynum Walter, AICP is Acting Assistant Director for Planning and Development in the City of Raleigh, North Carolina with responsibility for the city’s Long Range and Preservation Planning programs. In addition to ongoing work to manage the city's rezoning process and comprehensive plan, her current projects include Station Area Planning for the city's western and southern Bus Rapid Transit corridors. Prior to joining the City of Raleigh she worked for Ayers Saint Gross as a project manager and campus planner for college and university campus master plans. A Raleigh native, she holds a Bachelor of Arts (American Studies and English) and a Master of Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
