Patrick Gooch, JD, AICP (he/him) is a Senior Planner with Monroe County’s Department of Planning and Development. At Monroe County he focuses on compliance with the State Environmental Quality Review Act, Municipal Referrals per General Municipal Law § 239-L and M, the Land Use Decision-Making Training Program, Land Use Monitoring, Capital Improvement Program, the County's first Comprehensive Plan Update in 40 years, the County-wide Active Transportation Plan, and other special projects. Before working at Monroe County Pat worked for the Genesee/Finger Lakes Regional Planning Council as Senior Planner and Economic Development Specialist; Chautauqua County’s Department of Planning and Economic Development as Junior and Senior Planner; University at Buffalo’s Food Systems Planning and Healthy Communities Lab as a Legal Research Analyst. Prior to that Pat attended University at Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning and Buffalo School of Law where he earned a Master’s in Urban Planning and a Juris Doctor concurrently. He specialized in Land Use and Environmental Planning at the School of Planning and Architecture and concentrated on environmental law at the Buffalo School of Law. He was admitted to the NYS Bar in 2014.
