Eric Neagu, PE, LEED AP, AICP President and Managing Principal of the Antero Group is a civil engineer and urban planner with 25 years of experience. His work has focused on sustainable design of communities for both private and public sector clients throughout the country. After graduating from Purdue University, he moved to Colorado where he practiced civil engineering and taught middle school at a residential treatment facility. He returned to Chicago to earn an M.A. from The University of Chicago. Thereafter, his work primarily focused on biofuels development, sustainbility, and urban planning with a focus on environmental site reuse. For three years he was the co-executive director of a non-profit focused on rural development, while also holding board positions for various environmental education and conservation groups. Through this role, he began working on tribal and rural issues in the Four Corners region, at one time working on each of the four corners simultaneously. He has worked for the Navajo Nation for the past decade on numerous projects. In 2015 he founded Antero Group, a mission-based for profit consulting firm that blends urban planning, civil engineering, and economic development. Antero Group has offices in Chicago, Dallas, and Denver.
